Washinton Wizards – Detroit Pistons

After the unsuccessful last pick for a big loss of Wizards where they even won the match, I think that the time for this has come.
Washington most probably will have in their squad their star player Gilbert Arenas for tonight’s clash against the Pistons. But, as he has not play any single game for the entire season, I doubt that this will be a boost for them. Also, as we know, his absence was not the only problem for the Wizards with injured players – Etan Thomas, Deshawn Stevenson and Brendan Haywood are out for sure, while Juan Dixon, Darius Songaila and Caron Butler are questionable but there is a little chance for them to play. Mike James has some problems with his finger but he is listed as probable. Washington will come out for this very motivated, as Arenas is back, but I think that he will not be enough. He is not such a big player like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade etc. as even when he was in very high form there were cases when he was the reason for some Wizards’ losses with his very selfish style of play. So, one out-of-form Arenas can’t be count as a positive effect for the team.
Detroit are in a streak of 3 straight losses and they are in a very complicated situation, as they are currently on the 8th place in the Eastern Conference with 34-37 record and Charlotte are behind them with 32-40. So, the Pistons can’t make any more mistakes, still more in matches like this. Rasheed Wallace and Richard Hamilton are listed as probable, so there are a very high chance for them to play tonight which is undoubtedly a big plus for the visitors. But the biggest plus for them is the 100% missing of Allen Iverson. As I said in one analysis for one other Detroit’s match, this guy is the main reason for the current situation in Detroit as he is the most selfish player in the whole League. Also, I can’t imagine that the Pistons with players like Wallace, Hamilton, McDyess, Prince and Stuckey will miss the Playoffs and one bet for them to win and cover the spread is must take. Still more, I expected higher spread for them and I can’t resist on this one.
Pick: Detroit Pistons (-5) @1.90 in bet365.
