For tonight’s clash, I will “trust” the Wizards for one more time not even to lose the game, but to lose it with a big margin.
Washington are on the last place in the Eastern Conference losing and theoretical chances to claim a playoff spot and they have nothing to play for. Also, the players are totally out of motivation and they don’t play even for their pride. The only good news for the Wizards is the fact that their star player, Gilbert Arenas, completed a full practice session on March 19th and he is expected to return to the squad for the game against Detroit Pistons in Saturday. But before that game, they have to meet the Bobcats, and Brendan Haywood, Deshawn Stevenson and Etan Thomas remains injured, while Darius Songaila, Juan Dixon and Caron Butler are questionable but it’s expected that at least 2 of them will not play tonight.
Charlotte currently are occupying the 9th place in the Eastern Conference with 31-39 record, and they have a real chance for playing in the Playoffs, as the Bulls who are in front of them are 34-38, and Detroit, who are on the 7th place, are 34-36, but with their bad form recently, it is very possible for them to drop down. But it is not enough Chicago and Detroit losing some games, as also Charlotte have to win to improve in the standings. And if they can’t win against an opponent like the Wizards, they don’t deserve to take this 8th place. The team don’t have any injury problems and the coach can rely on his best players to do the job. In the last 13 matches, Charlotte are 9-4 ATS.
