West Ham made a nice start with the 2 – 0 win against Wolves in the first round but still I do not expect anything much from them this season – maybe again a respectful midtable position.I am sure that they will count a lot on the games against weaker opponents. But in games like this I have some doubts of their strenght and I see it real hard for them to resist the preasure that will come from Tottenham. Nevertheless, they made a fair pre-season preparation during which they lost from Spurs by the way.
Tottenham made a flying start after two wins against Liverpool (2-1) and Hull (1-5) and now they are leaders in the league. And in my opinion, the main reason for that is Harry Redknapp (I have already spoken about his skills). It is more than clear that his “honey month” is over and he is giving his contribution to the team. I expect a nice season from them winning at least a UEFA spot. The squad is pretty good, especially in offense and now their morale is high. For sure they will look for another decent performance here.
Unfortunaly, by the time I am writing this article, the odds have dropped significantly and that looks reasonable as the value started to vanish. Nevertheless, Tottenham are the better team here and will give West Ham some hard time. As I mentioned, odds aren`t great but still they worth a shot on the asian market with meduim stakes.
