Steve Bruce surely is proud with his team`s position for now and their performance but Zola`s position seem to be questionable now.
Sunderland are performing great at home up to now with 4 wins and 1 loss (in the first game against Chelsea - not that surprising). And it seems that they are scoring a lot against mediocre teams. And we also cannot pass by the last home proud of the team - the win against Liverpool with 1 - 0 though Liverpool weren`t with full squad. Bent has 50% chance to play as he is a pretty important player for the team being one of the top goalscorers of the league. Anyway the latest news are that most probable he will be able to play though he won`t be 100% fit.
West Ham are currently in the relegation zone and with that fact Zola`s position is quite questionable right now. Though the nice point they managed to get out last round at the Emirates, they are still the underdogs here. The team is just underperforming and that is why they found themselves in this situation. Zola still have some concerns with injury players as Parker, Boa Morte, Ashton, Dyer are out.
A nice home team is facing a struggling away team with major problems. Most probably Bent will play and maybe the person to make the difference here. If the home team manage to isolate Diamanti and Cole, I can see them winning and the odds are good to take that risk.
Probable line-ups
Sunderland – Gordon, Bardsley, Ferdinand, Turner, Richardson, Malbranque, Cana, Henderson, Reid, Bent, Jones
West Ham – Green, Spector, Tomkins, Upson, Ilunga, Behrami, Kovac, Noble, Collison, Cole, Diamanti
