Surely this will be one of the most interesting games on Saturday along with Wolfsburg – Hertha. The question here is whether gaining power Stuttgart will take the 3pts or Hoffenheim will show that they are still a powerful side and win the clash.Stuttgart are now playing stronger under Babel`s management and since the beginning of the second part of the season they are more like the team we are used to see. Now their goal will be Euro qualifications but they will have to work a lot for that. The problem here is that sometimes they look unconcentrated and shaky – we can see that from their heavy lost from Bayern in the Cup (1-5) and the way they lost their lead in the previous round (Hannover managed to score 2 goals only for 2 minutes). Anyway, this team of Stuttgart now is way stronger than the first half of the season.

The draw from the last round should be a motivator for the players and should show them that they do not have to underestimate things in any situations. So I guess the team will be more concentrated here having in mind that it is a derby after all. In my opinion also, loosing against Zenit should not be taken under much consideration – it was a good result after all and maybe the guys have been thinking about the upcoming important game in the Bundesliga.

I was really glad that Hoffenheim finished on the top before the break – they really deserved that. But the thing is that I didn`t believe that they will be able to keep the tempo till the end of the season. The injury of Vedad Ibisevic (17 games, 18 goals) in the winter break was definitely the worst thing that could happen to the team. It is obvious that Sanogo (the player Hoffenheim bought in the winter) cannot replace him that well.

Well the main thing here is that Hoffenheim is not playing as well as before – they seem to be struggling at moments. We can see that from their heavy lost against Leverkusen (1-4) last round and overall from their games. They just cannot be trusted as much as before. Still they are a dangerous and fast team with the ability to beat anyone.

The Pick

It is going to be really tough game here and tense will be high. It is always hard to predict this kind of games and they are always risky. Still I believe that Stuttgart can edge this one. Of course, because of the risk, we should bet careful.
