Definitely, the big derby match in this Primera’s round is promising to be so interesting and exciting. We will see two teams who are winning a game after game and undoubtedly the motivation in both of them will be on a very high level. But I think that the odds that are given by the bookies don’t represent right the current situation in these two teams and I will offer you one pick which possesses a great value in it.
Sevilla, after their loss with 0:2 in the opening round against Valencia, improved their performance a lot and registered 6 straight wins, with conceding a goal in only two of them. In the last two games they trashed 4:0 Athletic Bilbao, and then they do it again against Rangers (4:1) in the Champions League. The team is in an amazing form recently and showed that it will fight hardly not only for the Top 3, but why not for a title? But for achieving this, the Andalusians must beat Los Galacticos in this game. Something which is very likely to happen, in my opinion. The hosts can field their best players in this game, and it will be tough for the visitors. Also, in the last years Sevilla are playing great against Madrid, recording 6-1-1 in their last 8 games.
Real Madrid started amazingly this season, with winning all of their games until now, and they are the most scoring team not only in Spain, but in Europe too. The Whites managed to score 16 goals in 5 games in Liga BBVA, and 8 goals in 2 Champions League matches which means an average of 3.42 goals per game, as they received only in 2 of these 7 games. But without any doubt this game will be the most difficult for the multimillion selection of Real Madrid this season, and it is unknown how the Los Galacticos will play it. Still more, the big star of the team, Cristiano Ronaldo, will miss the game with an ankle injury which he received in the game against Marseille. Yes, Real have so many great players, but they didn’t show some great performance in the matches till now (despite the scored goals) and exactly Ronaldo was the man who played awesome and saved the team in some of them. So, I think that his absence will be crucial for them.
I rate this game as 50-50 for both of the teams, and I see a great value for a home win at these odds.
