Sevilla – Espanyol

Sevilla are one of the best performing teams this season not only in Spain, but in Europe too, and if they are able to maintain their level of performance for the rest of the season, it will be a very good season for them. And if they want to do something memorable, they should not slip over against teams like Espanyol.
Sevilla, after the loss against Valencia, in the first round of the season, managed to improve their game and they recorded 7 straight wins, when came the loss against Deportivo in the last round. And in these 7 wins, Sevilla not only beat, but also outplayed the multi-million selection of Real Madrid in the 2:1 win. But then came the game against Deportivo, in a very unsuitable moment for them – after the World Cup Qualification matches. And as it is known, the matches after such breaks are very hard and in most cases unsuccessful for teams with many national players, just like Sevilla. The big star of the team, Luis Fabiano, was not able to come back for this game, and the team played without him. But right after this loss, Sevilla recorded one very good 3:1 win as visitors to Stuttgarшр which means that practically they are in the second round of the Champions League and they can focus on the domestic games. The bad news for the team is the Adriano’s injury which will left him out of the squad for around a month. But the good ones are that Renato, Konko and Negredo are ready to play in this game.
Espanyol after the 2 losses in the start of the season, improved their performance and they have no loss in the last 5 games, when they recorded 3 wins and 2 draws. But surely the game at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan will be a very tough for them and I don’t think that they will get something from it. Espanyol met one of the biggest teams in Spain already, Real Madrid, and lost the game with 0:3, which took place on their home ground. The captain of the team Raul Tamudo is most probable to play in this game which will give them a boost in the attacking part of the game, but I don’t think that he can make the difference.
I expect one game, in which Sevilla will dominant a lot and record a new convincing win. Something that they can do it with ease this season.
