Toronto Raptors – Cleveland Cavaliers

After the last night’s loss against the Boston Celtics, I’m expecting that the Cavaliers will do everything possible to win this game today, and definitely they have the abilities to do that.
Toronto completely renewed the team in the summer, signing 8 new players and releasing 6, which undoubtedly will result in their performance in the first games of the new season. The team was left by players such as Shawn Marion, Anthony Parker, Jason Kapono, who were some of the key members of the team. Yes, Toronto signed the NBA finalist Hedo Turkoglu, who is definitely a world-class player, but let’s don’t forget that he participated on a European championship this summer and was injured for some time, so he will need more time to adapt to his new team. Of course it’s the same with the other new players, as it was seen in the pre-season games, when actually only Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon were the men that played in Toronto in the last season. And despite that, the very first game of this new team will be against the East Champions, who will be on fire after the last night’s loss.
Cleveland also signed some new players, but the core of the team is just the same like the last season, and despite that the team is not showing its best form, I don’t think that the Raptors should be rated as a serious threat for them. The Cavaliers started very good last night’s game (taking a 19:5 lead in the first minutes) but in the end they were on the losing side. Despite the loss, LeBron James was one class above the other players on the pitch, finishing with 38 points and 8 assists, and making two huge blocks against the Celtics’ players. So, I expect that against the low-chemistry team of Toronto, The King and his teammates will have a bit more chances to prove themselves and they have to make them if they don’t want to start the season with a balance of 0-2. And surely they don’t want that and in my opinion they will take this game with a big margin.
Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers (-5) at the odds of 1.90 at bet365, with 9/10 units.
Toronto Raptors 101:91 Cleveland Cavaliers
