Interesting clash – two teams from the bottom of the table fighting for the valuable 3 points.I have to admit – I wasn`t expecting to see Pompey near the relegation zone at this stage of the season. For West Brom – I am not surprised to see them there. Harry Redknapp managed to create a really nice team for a few years as Fratton Park became a fortress sometimes. But since his unfortunate for Pompey departure, the team went downwards with Tony Adams. Now, since Paul Hart took the lead of the team, things started to look better again – they lost only once in the last 6 games (against Chelsea) and grabbed 2 valuable wins at home against Everton (2-0) and Man City (2-1) as Crouch is in good form now.

Pompey needs points, although they are 4 points away from the relegation zone, to make things more sure and climb at the middle of the table. WBA also needs that points but it seems to me that Portsmouth will be more motivated for them.

Well WBA are at the bottom of the table and in my opinion – only a miracle can save them. And they will be the regular team that climbs in the upper division and then they fall down again. Their form is poor, especially when speaking for their away form – 1-3-11, scoring only 6 goals.

Injured and suspended players

Portsmouth - Sean Davis, Papa Bouba Diop are still injured, Glen Johnson is suspended for the game

West Brom - Ishmael Miller, Leon Barnett

The Pick

It is always hard to bet on the bottom teams but Pompey made a progress lately since Hart came. Things are looking more optimistically for them now. After the two successful wins against Everton and Man City lately, the team is looking good and confident at home. The 3 points are valuable for them so I guess they will be able to edge the poor WBA. And the odds are fair.
