Tonight, in Indiana, we are about to see a clash between two teams in so different form right now and I expect the high-flying team of Indiana to grab one deserved win, and to cover the spread.
Indiana after the unconvincing start of the season and the 3 straight losses (which came against the very good teams of the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, and as visitors to the perfect till now home team of the Atlanta Hawks), recorded their first win exactly against the Knicks (in Madison Square Garden), with which one they started their amazing 5-games winning streak. The team is playing very well and effectively right now, and even the Pacers managed to beat Boston Celtics (113:104) and undoubtedly we can say that they are in a top form right now. Dahntay Jones is showing that he is a great addition to the squad, and besides his 16.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, he is playing very good in the defensive part of the game. And Danny Granger is continuing with his great performances from the last season, averaging 24.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Today I expect another strong game from the Pacers and 6th straight win for them, as after 2 days they have a very tough game against the Cavaliers.
New York with every game are confirming the thesis that they are focused only to the 2010 Summer when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and other big stars are becoming free agents. The team is the last but one in the Eastern’s standings with only 1 win in 10 games. A good news for them is that Nate Robinson has recovered from his ankle injury, but in the last game, the Slam-Dunk 2009 Champion made some very weak 29 minutes on the court with only 9 points and 4 assists, and I don’t think that he is fully fit. So, I expect another loss for the Knicks, and even with some kind of a big margin. Still more, in the last 8 meetings between these two, Knicks are 1-7 ATS.
