For tonight I will offer you 2 picks from the NBA, which seems a little bit risky, but I think that they still worth a shot.
Cleveland Cavaliers – Miami Heat
Let’s start with the very interesting match in Cleveland. Cavaliers are the best home team in the NBA, with only 1 loss in the 28 played games in their own hall, and I don’t believe that Miami are capable to cause their 2nd defeat at home. Last night Cleveland played a very tough game in Boston, which they lost 94:105, but LeBron James and Mo Williams played 38-39 minutes and I don’t think that they will be very tired for this game. Delonte West is back for the Cavs which will be a boost for them. The only worrying thing for the hosts will be the missing of Ben Wallace, who despite the poor personal statistics, plays very good in defence. But Cleveland showed that they can play without him and recorded 4 wins in 5 games. The only lost is the mentioned already against Boston, which is not suprising, as Boston are the current NBA Champions. Miami play some good basketball lately, with 3 wins in 4 games, but this is mainly due to the amazing form of Dwayne Wade, who scored 41 points average in these games. The only one loss is exactly against Cleveland 100:107, and this happened in the Miami’s hall, where we saw that one Dwayne Wade is not enough. I expect some similar performance tonight, and the spread of 9 points looks very good to me. Also, Cavs are 25-6 ATS in their last 31 home games.
Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers (-9) @1.90 in bet365.
Cleveland Cavaliers 99:89 Miami Heat
Atlanta Hawks – Detroit Pistons
In this game I will trust the visitors to win the game. Detroit managed to break off the horrible 8 game losing streak, with two very good wins against Orlando and Boston in their own halls, and now The Pistons are in 4 wins in a row. And the reason for this is more than obvious – the injury of their “star player” Allen Iverson. One injury, which he suffered in the game against New Orleans Hornets, in which Detroit were very closed to win it – 87:90. In my opinion, this man is very obstructive for the Pistons, as he is may be the most selfish player in the whole League, and he just can’t play in defence, which is the way that the Pistons are used to play. When he is fit there is no force in the World which can put him out of the squad, as he is one of the NBA’s big names, but now, with his injury, we can see that the only one thing that left from him is his name. Atlanta are amongst the good home teams with 20 wins and 7 losses but tonight they will face a very hard task against the fighting for 5-6 place in the Eastern Conference Detroit Pistons – we can also blame Iverson for this, as before his arrival in the team, the Pistons were one of the candidates for the Eastern Champions. Atlanta are in some bad form with only 3 wins in last 10, but 8 from this 10 games were away from home, and today they will be motivated to record one win in front of their fans. Something which would happen without any doubt, if Iverson was not injured, but in the mentioned circumstances I’m not very sure of this, and I think that the Pistons will record their 5th straight win.
Pick: Detroit Pistons to win the match @2.10 in bet365.
