Today, only 2 games will be played in the NBA but I would like to offer you one teaser from these two. Or, said with another words, I will offer you one bet with changed lines on lower odds.

New Orleans Hornets – Dallas Mavericks
Let’s start with the game in New Orleans, where tonight the Hornets will host Dallas Mavericks. I think that in this game the Mavericks will show a lot of resistance to their hosts in the fight for a playoff spot. Hornets are currently on the 6th place in the Western Conference, while Dallas are 8th but the difference between them is minimal. New Orleans are with record 37-22, Dallas are 37-24 and the Phoenix Suns are right behind them with 34-27 and we will see one very interesting fight until the end of the regular season, so I think that Dallas will give everything to win this match. I don’t know that they are capable to win in the Hornets’ hall but they are not such a weak team to lose by big margin. A big boost for them will be the returning of Jason Terry after he recovered from his injury. One player who definitely has the needed skills to help his team reaching the Playoffs. Last night Dallas won against San Antonio Spurs in one tight game with 107:102 but I don’t think that this will have so big effect in tonight’s game. Peja Stojakovic is questionable for the Hornets and if he can’t play in this match, it will be a big blow for New Orleans. Hornets are in 3 wins in a row against Dallas, so the Mavericks will make everything possible to break this negative streak. In these 3 games, only one is lost by 10+ points.

Denver Nuggets – Portland Trailblaizers
In this game we will see two teams which are sure for their playoff spots but they will fight hardly for the rest of the season for the second place in the Western Conference, which will guarantee to them one easy opponent in the first round and they will not meet the LA Lakers until the Conference Finals. This 2nd place is currently occupied by San Antonio Spurs who are 40-20, Denver are 39-22, and Portland are 38-22. A big blow for the visitors will be the missing of Greg Oden, who will give some advantage for the Nuggets in the paint, where they have some well-rebounding players like Nene and Kenyon Martin. Raef LaFrentz and Martell Webster will also miss the game for the Trailblaizers but they are injured for such a long time and this will not affect the team. Denver are in a similar situation with Steven Hunter who has played in only one game for them this season. Denver recorded two losses in their previous two games but they were away from home and tonight they will be fully motivated for one win in front of their fans. Arriving of Chauncey Billups, and respectively the departure of Allen Iverson, was one very good move for them and this is the big reason for the good games of the team since this deal. Portland has one very good player such Brandon Roy but they are not so strong away from home and I expect one loss for them in this game.
