Man City - ArsenalManchester City – Arsenal

Barclays Premier League

16:00

This will be one the most interesting games in this round and the first real test for City.

Man City

So let`s make a real conclusion for this team so far – it is true that they won all their 3 games until now without conceding a goal. But all of those 3 teams were mediocre (even Pompey and Wolves now are crappy teams for me) and obviously they haven`t impressed so much for now. Even, to be honest, I expected better performance from them against Wolves in their only home game til now. Now is it time for their first test against a team from Top 4 and I am not sure if they are ready at all as I didn`t see anything quite impressive from them until today.

Tevez won`t play for sure and Robinho is doubtful – if this stays in this way their offensive power will be much reduced. It is true that Adebayor has been the team`s main weapon since the beginning of the season but I will discus him later in the article.

Arsenal

To be obvious, most of the people expect that the battle for the 4th place will be between Man City and Arsenal (if there will be such one). But Arsenal started the season in a great way – they showed that they are nice team even without Adebayor and Toure and that maybe the “youngster” have grown a bit. They have been scoring a lot for now and they main strength is coming from the mid line – Diaby, Song, Fabregas and Denilson seem to crush the oponent`s mid line every time now. And this will be really dangerous for City as if this happens again here, Arsenal will be totally over City. Though Nasri, Arshavin and Walcott won`t be able to play here, the team has great width and that seems to be enough for now.

Wenger admitted before the game that Adebayor is on fire now but he said that Arsenal is the team who should stop his streak – and this looks quite logical. Who knows Adebayor better than Wenger? And if Robinho won`t play (and Tevez for sure), Adebaoyr will be a bit lonely on the top of the offense and in this way Wenger may break him pretty easier.

Don`t get me wrong here – I think that the “youngster” will lose their form at some point and things will start to go downwards for the team but for now they seem to be stronger that City. And if we take the previous game as reference (against Man Utd) I would say that Arsenal deserved the 3 points here and I hope that they won`t make the same mistake here as before and will take their revenge.

The odds are fair for me.
