It is always a pleasure to watch these to teams fighting for the 3 points and I hope this one will be so interesting too.

Leverkusen did a great start with pretty effective and attractive style of play – with great contribution from the new coach, Heyckens. It seems he is influencing the team really positive for now. Now Bayer is sharing the top spot with Hamburger and they will try finish the round as leaders this weekend. Derdiyok will miss the game as this is a blow for the team but still Barnetta and Kiessling are there, as Kiessling is performing like a star for now being a top goalscorer with 5 goals in 5 games. The team showed great spirit and determination last round managing to win against the champion Wolfsburg (2 – 3) and we add the game against Freiburg (0 – 5), we can see the nice form this team is in right now.

Werder had a bit of disappointing start but they managed to perform well in the next games. Nevertheless, there came the 0 – 0 draw at home against Hannover and this shows that the team is not in quite a shape now. Their performance is not yet consistent and looks like they will need some more time in order to learn how to handle without Diego. Ozil is managing in the midfield well for now, boosting the team but he won`t be able to play here so this is a big blow for Werder.

This games often ends in an unexpected way but here Leverkusen seems to be the better team with better moral and performance for now. Werder maybe need some more time in order to gain our trust but now without Ozil for this game, they may have real hard times in this clash.
