Los Angeles Lakes – Denver Nuggets

We are in the final week of the NBA regular season which finishes next Wednesday and while some teams know what is their destiny, there are some teams which are still fighting for something. Like the Lakers and in some measure the Nuggets.

Los Angeles Lakers will definitely be on the first place in the Western Conference but after the 2 losses in a row for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lakers have real chances for the 1st place in the whole League (the Lakers are with balance 62-16, while the Cavs are 63-15). One place which will give them a home-court advantage if the two teams face each other in the NBA Finals. And if LA win all of their last 4 games, and Cavs lose only 1, the Lakers will take this 1st place as they already have 2 wins this season over the Cavaliers. So, without any doubt, the Lakers will be highly motivated not only tonight, but in all four final games. Also, their center player, Andrew Bynum, is listed as probable for tonight, which is out of play since January with knee problems. Something which will give some more boost for this game for the whole team, and if Bynum take back his form before the injury for the final phase in the Playoffs, I can say that Lakers will be practically the new NBA Champions, as we saw that exactly the Bynum’s missing were the reason for Lakers losing the Finals last year. In the last 10 matches, LA are 6-4 ATS, while in last 8 between these two, the home team is 6-2 ATS, and in the last 10 games as whole between the two teams, Lakers are 8-2 ATS.
Denver are currently on the 2nd place in the Western Conference, and they are very little chance to lose it, as right now they are 53-26, while the teams on the 3rd, 4th and 5th place are with balance 50-28. Nuggets are now solid in the 2nd position with one very good streak of 8 wins in a row, which in fact has to end some day and I see a big possibility for this to happen exactly tonight in “Staples Center” and even I expect for them to suffer a heavy defeat. In the last 5 meetings in this hall, Denver always have lost the match with at least 14 points. Kenyon Martin is questionable for tonight’s clash with some ribs’ problems and with the Playoffs coming very soon, I think that he will not take part in this game, which will be a huge blow for the Nuggets.

Pick: Los Angeles Lakers (-8.5) at the odds of 1.86 in bet365.
