Genoa – Catania
Genoa continued they nice form from before the pause as they won win 2 – 0 against Lecce and with 3 – 0 against Torino and they did well in the Cup. On the contrary, Catania continued they bad form from last year and still they haven`t gained a point. Genoa are playing really nice this season at home with record 7-2-0 and great goal difference 20-6! The good news here is that Milito will play as he is among the top scorers in Serie A with 12 goals and he is doing a good season. On the other side Catania are struggling when playing away and they are one of the worst guest in the league with record 0-3-6 with goals difference 4:13. So we got a good home playing team in good shape (Genoa) against a bad guest in bad shape (Catania).
In the last 5 games Genoa conceided only 1 goal and scored at least one in each game which speaks of good efficiency. On the contrary Catania usually misses to score goals in their games. And their defence definitely have problems with stopping the attackers of their opponent. As Genoa are playing attacking football with 3-4-3 style, Catania will face real problems especially if they lose the game in the middle of the field. And actually the offensive style of play will be the breaking point here in my opinion.
