Fiorentina – Ajax

Well it is February and we can watch the CL and the UEFA Cup again. And the more exciting thing is that now both competitions are entering in the most interesting part. It is common thing (and most of the times a mistake) to pay great attention to the form of the teams in the local leagues. So here I am going to point only the most important things for both teams :
1. – Viola managed to get a draw in the last round against Genoa as they were losing in the result (3-0). So they scored 3 goals in the second half and get a point. This definitely will boost the moral of the players for this game and they will be more self-confident. Also they are doing well in the Serie A and now they are occupying 4th place only a few points behind the 3rd Milan,
2. - Away form of Ajax is mediocre (5-1-5) and they do not impress when they play as guests. On the contrary – sometimes they struggle playing away from home.
The facts above show that Fiorentina is a favorite for the win here.
Major problem for Ajax will be their defensive line - the two regular CDs are missing (Wielaert and Vertonghen), as well as the important DMs Gabri and Enoh. This will bring great troubles in the defense of the guests and will open more opportunities for Mutu, Gilardino, Montolivo and Semioli (all of them forming nice offensive power) to get in the score sheet.
On the other side Ajax is never to be underestimated. Along with the troubled defense they have fast and dangerous strikers in the face of Sulejmani, Leonardo and Suarez which can score against any team and I think they will have their chances from mistakes and counter attacks.

Having in mind the fact I pointed there is great possibility that we will se some goals in the game and eventually Fiorentina will be winners. So my bets are:
