On paper, both teams still can be relegated but we all know that this won`t happen.

Just to be sure, both teams need just a few points more or said in another way – one more win til the end of the season. Now for Blackburn, it is most certain that this will come on home ground – in the remaining 3 games they have 2 home matches (this one and one more against poor WBA) and 1 away game against Chelsea. The good news for the fans is that Blackburn are currently playing well at home, doing just enough to get the win and they achieved some valuable wins against Tottenham and Wigan in the past 2 home games. So putting things in this way, they will be counting on their home games, like the last month.

Since Hart took the manager position, things are not going the way they were expected for Pompey as it seems he needs some more time to past the “honey month”. The loss last round showed in a way how things are now at the club. Pompey is just not the same since Redknapp departed as he developed them to this level. I just find their performing right now unsatisfying and they seem to underperform.

Pompey`s performance will suffer even more a bit having in mind the injury list in the team - Noe Pamarot, Niko Kranjcar, Papa Bouba Diop are injured, Glen Johnson and Younes Kaboul are doubtful.

The Pick

Blackburn seem to manage well their games at home lately as they have enough to beat their opponents. Pompey are underperforming lately and they will have some additional problems due to injuries. The odds are fair but somehow I can`t see Blackburn winning with big margin. And having in mind it is near the end of the season, I will keep the stakes medium.
