Barclays Premier League
12:45
The first game of this round will be a London derby and as always I am sure it will be much interesting to watch.
Arsenal are performing well up to now and they are sitting on 3rd place. They are the team with the most scored goals in the league as at home they are scoring around 4 goals per game! And the good thing for Wenger here is that those goals are being scored by a lot of people from the team, not only by one or two individuals. The last round West Ham managed to sneak a point at Emirates and I am sure that they will want to bounce back in ths derby. Arshavin, Fabregas, Persie were rested during the midweek Carling Cup round so they are expected to make the difference here.
Tottenham are facing this derby still with the feeling of disappointment from last round when Stoke won at White Heart Line with 0 – 1. So they will also want to bounce back here. Motivation is out of question here – both sides will be really motivated as this is an important game for them. Last seasons they started badly but it seems Redknapp is changing the team as they are not in the Champions League zone. Defoe will be missed in this game as he is still out.
Both teams have great offensive power although Defoe will be missing for the away side. I have noticed some troubles in both defenses recently – Arsenal for example conceded in every of their last 4 games at least a goal. Moreover, the motivation will be really high for both of the teams as well as the stake. It interesting to see how Redknapp will approach this one but nevertheless I expect to see some goals especially if there is an early one.
Probable line-ups
Arsenal – Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Clichy, Song, Fabregas, Eboue, Diaby, Arshavin, Van Persie
Tottenham – Gomes, Corluka, Woodgate, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Huddlestone, Palacios, Kranjcar, Crouch, Keane
